        Remember All

To day is a very special Day "Tactical Operation in Northern Ireland" will cease today @ Midnight?

OPERATION Banner, the military operation in Northern Ireland which is the longest continuous deployment in the history of the British Armed Forces, lasting 38 years, will come to an end. DUP MP and former UDR officer Jeffrey Donaldson paid tribute to those who served and praised those who paid the "supreme sacrifice".

The campaign, which ends Midnight July 31 2007, involved all three branches of the services, the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy, providing support to the civil authorities through the entire length of the Troubles.
