Soldier from The 2nd Battalion The Rifles killed in Afghanistan

It is with sadness that the Ministry of Defence must announce that a British soldier from The 2nd Battalion The Rifles was killed in Helmand Province yesterday, Tuesday, 2 June 2998.
The soldier was killed as a result of an explosion that happened whilst on a patrol near Gereshk.
