  • Five more UK dead in Afghanistan

Five more British soldiers have died in Afghanistan, bringing to eight the total killed over 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence has said.

The five, from the 2nd Battalion The Rifles, were killed in two separate blasts while on foot patrol on Friday. Next of kin have been informed.

This is just terrible, how many more pointless deaths will we suffer.

RIP and my the Gods protect all our troops.

O Almighty God the sure stronghold of each succeeding age, guard us your servants
of The Rifles. That we may uphold and be worthy of the great traditions bound up in
our former Regiments, and as we were chosen to be swift and bold may we seek with
courage you grace in every time of need and so be patient and persevering in running
the race this is set before us. This we ask through Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord.
      Amen.

      RIP My Brother Riflemen.

      Swift and Bold.

        bad news

This was on SBS world news at 18'30, the commentaters were saying that UK does not have enough troops to do the job set for them whilst a Brit spokesman said that they wanted to do a hearts and minds type campaign but were not getting support from ANY governments.
        We will not forget.
Spanners do it with their tools.
